Data Deletion Instructions
How an authorised client can disconnect Meta access and request deletion of Facebook Page analytics data held by Site Factory.
1. What this process covers
This process covers data held by Site Factory for the current Facebook Page organic analytics service, including applicable raw Meta response data, staged Facebook analytics records and curated/reporting outputs associated with the client.
It is a manual operational deletion process. Site Factory is not representing this public page as an automated Meta data-deletion callback.
2. Disconnect or revoke Meta access
An authorised client administrator can remove or revoke Site Factory's access using Meta's current business/app controls. Meta may change the names and location of those controls, so this page does not provide screen-by-screen instructions that could become inaccurate.
Revoking, disconnecting or allowing the relevant Meta authorisation to expire prevents Site Factory from successfully collecting new data through that authorisation. Previously collected data remains subject to the separate retention and deletion process. If you want Site Factory to confirm the disconnection or delete data already held, follow the request process below.
3. Request deletion from Site Factory
- Email privacy@graemewilson.nz with the subject Meta data deletion request.
- Identify the client business and the Facebook Page or connection involved. A Page name or public Page URL is usually sufficient; do not send passwords, access tokens, app secrets or other credentials.
- State whether you are requesting deletion of all Site Factory Meta analytics data for that client/connection or a narrower set that can be clearly identified.
- State your relationship to the client business so Site Factory can verify that you are authorised to make the request.
4. Authority verification
Graeme Wilson owns the deletion process. Site Factory verifies the requester against its client records/CRM and may ask for additional non-secret information if needed to confirm authority before deleting client data.
5. What happens after verification
After a deletion request is verified, Site Factory will identify the relevant client-specific data stores and delete or, where appropriate, de-identify the data covered by the request. The current operational target is to complete a verified deletion request within 48 hours.
The deletion workflow covers applicable raw Facebook payloads, staged Facebook records and curated/reporting outputs for that client.
Deletion requests cover applicable live analytics data and applicable backup/archive data. Backup/archive treatment forms part of the verified deletion process. No separate lawful or operational retention exception currently applies.
6. When a client service ends
After service termination, clients have 5 working days to request an export of their data. After that period, deletion may proceed. Once initiated, deletion is targeted for completion within 48 hours. This is subject only to any information that must genuinely be retained by law or another documented obligation.
7. Confirmation
Site Factory will confirm completion to the verified requester. If any information cannot be deleted because a real legal or operational retention requirement applies, Site Factory will explain what is being retained and why rather than silently treating the request as complete.
